BAT (Business Assistance Team) – Should you need help with your business a team of professionals will contact you and supply valued advice, direction and a plan to address any issues impacting your business operation. Whether it’s a start-up issue, changes in the market, loss of key employees, unplanned growth, downsizing, entrepreneur burn-out, motivation issues or something else regarding your business, the chamber is there to advise and support you through some difficult decision making processes.
To maximize assistance, the BAT Committee Chair will select from volunteers on the committee those who have familiarity with your type of business to guide you, based upon the challenge you are facing. BAT members make a pledge that they will not disclose your issue to others (or even that they met with you), and they are not allowed to solicit your business. Instead they will try to mentor you. The BAT committee strongly recommends using this service as soon as you identify that you are in unchartered waters, and could use some help. The sooner decide to take action, the shorter the period of course correction has to be. Reaching out early can make the difference between failure and success. BAT is NOT a substitute for hiring professionals to represent you or provide counsel, but it will allow you to see the future with clarity. A member of the BAT team will contact you to set up a meeting at your business. All information provided will be held in complete confidence by the chamber and by all members of the BAT team. |
