Event Description: The Spirit of Broadway Theater, 24 Chestnut Street, Norwich will be presenting DESPERATE MEASURES – a new musical comedy set in the American Old West! It's the tale of Johnny Blood, a hot tempered young cowboy who is sentenced to hang for killing a man in a bar fight. When his sister, a novice nun in a nearby mission, goes to the Governor to plead for her brother's life, humorous complications involving a hard-bitten sheriff, a voluptuous saloon girl and a priest who sips a bit too much wine make for the funniest show of the summer!! Performances run from June 27 through July 29, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2 pm.
