Tourism Committee The greater Norwich area
has an unrecognized potential for attracting
tourists and generating income for existing and new
businesses in our local area. The Tourism Committee
of the Greater Norwich Chamber of Commerce is
actively involved in developing and capitalizing on
this potential for the benefit of the entire
community.
During the coming year, the Tourism Committee will
strive to improve tourism by:
-
Supplementing the efforts of the Norwich
Tourism Office and other such organizations
operating under the burden of budgetary
constraints
-
Working with local groups like the
Historical Society and Heritage Discovery Center
to promote their message and mission
-
Developing a tourism strategy in conjunction
with groups such as Rose City Renaissance that
would make our city a significant point of
interest for tourists visiting the region
-
Providing support to festivals and special
community events in the area
It is the committee’s mission to establish Norwich
as a first-class destination for tourists. We
welcome like-minded members to join us in our
current and future endeavors. For more information,
please call the Chamber at (860) 887-1647. |
